What the field report brought home
We joined a 65labs Unconference to share what we brought home from San Francisco’s AI-builder scene. The talk focused on the operating choices underneath the visible demos.
The useful observations were the ones that could travel: how teams assemble context, how they keep agents useful over longer runs, where building a capability creates real leverage and where an existing tool will do.
The homework
The frontier is increasingly an operations problem. Reliable outcomes depend on the surrounding system: the information a model can see, the tools it may use, the checkpoints a human can inspect and the recovery path when a run drifts.
The second lesson was cultural. Ambition becomes easier to sustain when builders share unfinished work, compare notes honestly and make shipping feel normal.

A field report should change the next decision. For Kairos, that means staying close to real workflows and evaluating new capabilities through the work they make possible.
